Cisco’s IOS XR Software is an operating system designed for constant operation while scaling system capacity up to 92Tbps. The IOS XR Software powers the Cisco Carrier Routing System, which allows the groundwork for network and service convergence while providing investment protection for the future.

IOS XR Software Release 3.5.2 introduces IP Multicast VPN capabilities. The release brings Management Plane Protection. Additional security improvements include hitless key exchange for Open Shortest Path First and Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System. Cisco’s IOS XR Software Release 3.5.2 includes support for all hardware modules and software features of all prior releases.
