for Unix
The Cisco Secure Access Control Server for UNIX is a high-performance, highly
scalable, centralized user access control framework. Cisco Secure ACS offers
centralized command and control for all user authentication, authorization, and
accounting from a Web-based, graphical interface. It distributes those controls
to hundreds or thousands of access gateways in a network. With ACS, users can
manage and administer user access for Cisco IOS Routers, VPNs, firewalls, and
dialup and broadband DSL connections.
Users can also use the ACS access framework to control administrator access.
It can also be used for configuration of all TACACS+ enabled network devices in
a network. Advanced features include dynamic quota generation, restrictions such
as time of day and day of week, and user and device group profiles.
