The ProCurve Switch 8100fl Series focuses on delivering high-bandwidth and high-availability in a cost effective server solution. Better system utilization, performance, and large switching capacity are achieved through the use of distributed processing architecture and bandwidth of up to 320 Gbps. Overall system availability is improved through the use of modular, distributed software, comprised of individually restartable processes.

Efficient high link availability in multiple VLAN environments is provided by the included Multiple Spanning Tree (IEEE 802.1s) capability, available standard in the ProCurve Switch 8100fl Series. By utilizing hot-swappable module capabilities, additional mini-GBICs and permit modules can be added to the switch without disrupting the network.
